The beginning of every start up has long nights and early mornings thats how it is to build…but the goal is to remove yourself and hire the help to keep it running after you worked to get all those customers the first 5 years

This is all good advice for a certain scale of a shop. But there’s a wide spectrum. A small shop, same day jobs, appointment only, small town, no employee’s low overhead, and limited services does quite well. Don’t be too discouraged folks.

How about using a pricing matrix for parts pricing? I work for an accounting/payroll company and we offer this template on our website, do any auto repair shop owners out there use something like this? https://youtu.be/eQa5TqC6SDQ

well, that sucks I hate working for someone and the unfair pay in the automotive industry. But I absolutely love helping people out with their vehicles. They’re a few things that definitely overwhelmed me a bit. So, I plan on having a shop built on my land at home mostly for hobby and things and maybe a little bit of a side hustle also to help those out that need help with vehicle repairs, but I also have been thinking to go full blown business by myself.
